10:30pm-10:45pm: Jack & Jill
10:45pm to 11:15pm: Social Dancing
11:20pm to 11:30pm: Grand Final and Results of Jack and Jill.
11:30pm to 1am: Social Dancing

Open Level (Improver to Advanced)

We recommended that you have at least 1 year experience

Process

Register early!

Late entrances may miss out

There will only be 1 round.

The round will be held at 10:30pm and conclude at 10:45pm

The set up will be a concentric circle (Leads on outside, Follows on inside)
Leads will be paired with a random follow

Every 80 seconds the lead will move one place clockwise, the follows will remain stationary

There will be 5 rotations. In other words you will dance with 5 different people for 80 seconds each

Judging

Competitors will be dancing simultaneously and judges will be evaluating each person

Each Lead judge will select a top 3 for Leads
(3 votes, 2 votes, 1 vote)

Each Follow judge will select a top 3 for Follows
(3 votes, 2 votes, 1 vote)

The judging criteria for comparison will be based on Timing, Musicality, Technique and Showmanship

The Leads and Follows with the most votes will win

The results will be announced at 11:30pm

For the Lead and for the Follow
1st Place: Full Pass for the World Bachata Festival Melbourne
2nd Place: Party Pass for the World Bachata Festival Melbourne and a Insane card (10 Classe/Social Pass for ConeXion Wednesdays)
3rd Place: Party Pass for the World Bachata Festival Melbourne and a $80 credit for a pair of ConeXion Dance Shoes

Winners will also receive certificates and medals.
